ISLAMABAD, April 23– Suzuki Motor Corporation has confirmed that it will launch its compact crossover, the Suzuki Fronx, in Pakistan on May 6, 2026, marking the company’s entry into a new segment in the local market.

According to PakWheels, The model was first hinted at by industry sources in late 2024, before being officially unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) in November 2025. Since then, the automaker has sustained interest through teaser campaigns and promotional events.

Classified by the company as an “XUV,” the Fronx is a sub-compact crossover SUV powered by a 1.5-litre engine delivering around 104 horsepower and 126 Nm of torque. In Pakistan, it is expected to be offered in both hybrid and non-hybrid variants.

The Fronx is already available across several international markets, including India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan is set to join this list with the upcoming launch.

Industry data shows India remains the largest market for the Fronx and the primary production hub, exporting units to other regions. Currently, the vehicle is manufactured or assembled only in India and Indonesia, with Pakistan poised to become the third country to locally assemble the model.

The launch also represents several milestones for Pak Suzuki Motor Company. It will be the firm’s first locally assembled SUV, unlike earlier models such as the Suzuki Vitara, which were imported. Additionally, the Fronx will be the company’s first mild-hybrid offering in Pakistan, introducing electrified technology to its domestic lineup.

The vehicle is also expected to become the most expensive model in Pak Suzuki’s portfolio, surpassing the Suzuki Swift, which currently sits at the top end of its range.

Pricing details have yet to be disclosed, though analysts say the model’s positioning will be critical in determining its market reception amid rising competition in the compact SUV segment.

Further details, including pricing and market strategy, are expected closer to the launch date, as the company prepares to roll out what could be a significant addition to Pakistan’s evolving automotive landscape.
