RAWALPINDI, July 17 : President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA), Rawalpindi chapter, Adnan Nisar, met District Education Officer and Focal Person for Private Schools, Dr. Shehnshah Babar Khan, at his office.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on promoting cooperation between public and private educational institutions and further strengthening mutual coordination.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shehnshah Babar Khan said that the role of the private education sector was undeniable. He noted that private educational institutions were providing education to the nation’s children, which constituted a great national service.
He further emphasized that adopting a facilitative and positive approach towards educational institutions, students and parents was the need of the hour.
Dr. Babar Khan also urged private educational institutions to comply with government directives regarding building fitness certificates. He said that institutions operating in unsafe buildings should immediately relocate to suitable premises.
In addition, he stated that educational institutions not registered with the Education Department should complete their registration without delay, assuring that the department would extend full cooperation in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, Adnan Nisar said that APPSMA was the largest representative body of private educational institutions and enjoyed a prominent position across the country.
He said that private educational institutions were playing a fundamental role in promoting education, increasing literacy rates and ensuring the provision of quality education in Pakistan.
Adnan Nisar added that the private education sector was a strong partner of the government and an important stakeholder in the country’s education system; therefore, its consultation and representation should be ensured in educational policymaking and administrative affairs.
