MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has finalized its extensive administrative and field operations to ensure the seamless movement and safety of pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj 2026 season.
These comprehensive arrangements, which include optimized access to the Jamarat site and the holy sites’ metro system, are designed to benefit millions of worshippers, including a large contingent from Pakistan.
According to Saudi media reports, the ministry has implemented an integrated operational system rooted in advanced planning and modern technology.
To protect pilgrims from the rigors of intense heat and overcrowding, the transportation infrastructure between Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat has been upgraded.
These efforts aim to streamline the flow of crowds and ensure that transportation services, including Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro, operate at peak efficiency.
To manage real-time developments on the ground, the ministry has introduced a unified leadership framework and a high-tech coordination mechanism.
This “Unified Command” allows for the instantaneous exchange of information and rapid response to any logistical hurdles or emergencies.
By centralizing field operations, authorities aim to maintain a secure environment and provide immediate assistance to pilgrims throughout the duration of the pilgrimage.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a strong advisory urging all pilgrims, particularly those from Pakistan, to strictly comply with approved movement schedules.
Highlighting the critical role of individual discipline in crowd management, officials emphasized that adhering to designated time slots for the Rami (stoning) ritual and following instructions at transport hubs are essential for a safe, orderly, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.
